Officially opened by Australian adventurer Dick Smith in October 2002, the Lockhart & District Community Bank® Branch has given back over $1.25 Million in grants to the local community & dividends back to shareholders.
To name just a few examples of some of the major projects funded by the Lockhart branch since inception have been $50,000 to restore the iconic Lockhart showground Grandstand, $50,000 to assist building a new museum in Lockhart to show off our world famous wool portraits made by Doris Golder, $45,000 to assist fund new netball courts for Lockhart Football Netball Club and $10,000 towards the new digital x-ray machine at the Lockhart MPS.
